Amanda Smith of @dallasgirlgang on Building a Community, Entrepreneurship, & Overcoming Struggles

In today’s episode, we got to sit down with Amanda Smith, the founder of @dallasgirlgang on Instagram. Her sweet heart and passion for building a strong community of women was evident from the second we sat down with her. This was our first time meeting each other in real life, and it was so special to see that she was just as transparent and inspiring in person as she is online. We know that Amanda and Dallas Girl Gang are going big places, and we’re so excited to give you a taste of what this journey has been like for her so far.

In today’s episode, Amanda talks about her background and how she never envisioned herself doing anything other than singing worship and serving at her church, to becoming a teacher, to now on the cusps of being able to work her side hustle as her full time job and live out her new passion. She talks through how she got the inspiration to start Dallas Girl Gang, starting the brand as a Facebook group for women in the Dallas area looking to connect with each other, and how the brand has grown to where it is today.

Now, DGG has monthly events, a podcast, a large following on social media, and a strong community of women in the DFW area who are all collaborating together to live out their dreams in such an inspiring way! This July will be Year 2 of her Fearless Conference, where she will host Jaclyn Johnson, CEO of Create Cultivate. Needless to say, the conference is going to be a very big deal for influencers in the area, and we couldn’t be more excited for her!
